Reasons to use Delicious:

  1. Save all your bookmarks to centralize them into one location and to access them from any computer
  2.  Create a Delicious account for your department or grade level so everyone can share their most useful web sites
  3. Create a classroom account for your students to have easy access to the web sites they can use for school activities and research
  4. Create student account and assign students the task to find and then share web sites useful for current class topics
  5. Require students doing research projects to create Delicious accounts so you can easily keep track of their progress
  6. Have students subscribe to the RSS feed of your list- the feed URL is http://delicious/RSS/yourusername or subscribe to a specific tag in your list
  7. Search for good web sites using the search feature in Delicious
  8. Typing http://delicious/popular/tag will find the resources about your topic saved by the most users
  9. Work with your students to create meaningful tags-- good for simplifying and for teaching about categorizing and content management
  10. Use the popular feature to teach web site evaluation
  11. Join networks of other computer-using educators or of others who share your academic interests or subject content
